A natural dye talk / demonstration with Christine Lewis
Christine Lewis is a botanical dyer; she coaxes colour from plants, barks, flowers and kitchen waste to dye textiles and paper from which she creates homewares and accessories.
The process by its very nature is slow and cannot be hurried, the perfect antidote to today’s fast paced world.
Christine has worked with brands such as Joules, Toast, Small Batch Goods and The Botany Shop as well as ethical brands in the USA. Her work has appeared in Gardenista, The Telegraph Magazine, Country Living Magazine and her dye garden was also featured on Gardeners World.
She will be talking about the process of making dyes with plant based materials and there will be an opportunity for you ask questions and to dip some fabric swatches and see for yourselves the beautiful palette of living colours.
