Binascreation
Hello! My name is Bina Patel and I am a Multimedia Mandala artist based in Leicester, U.K. I specialise in Mandala and Zentangle art. I like to work with different elements and materials to bring uniqueness to the piece. My love and passion for art started very much a long time ago. I have always been fascinated by intricacies of Hinduism motifs and artwork. I used to draw intricate patterns and designs from Hindu temples or Indian architecture motifs and intricate carvings such as peacock, elephant, chatiya arch (gavaksha or Chandrashala) or ogee arch etc. One day I discovered my work is so much like Mandala and Zentangle Art.
Mandala means ‘circle’ in Sanskrit. A Mandala represents the spiritual journey, starting from outside to the inner core, through layers. Mandala are not just for fun, it can also be used as a spiritual tool that helps in channeling your subconscious thoughts. I believe it is a circle of life because we stand in the centre of our own circle and everything we see, hear and think forms the mandala of our life. It is also means we always get back to where we begin.
The Zentangle art allows to attain the state of meditativeness and it also helps in calming your mind by rebooting it. Zentangle is an unplanned art form and it allows the creator to follow their creative instinct and discover themself.
I absolutely love creating Mandalas and Zentangle because it can help you restore your inner peace within your mind. It brings me so much positivity & pure happiness and I would love to be able to spread the joy and positivity through something I love doing, a creation from my heart to yours.

Injabulo
We sell beautiful baskets which we buy directly from our talented artisans in Ghana and Kenya. There are several different shapes and every piece is unique, limited only by the imagination of the maker. You can use them for shopping, display, storage or as an attractive container for a project.
In order to support our producers we pay them when we order and send an additional 20% of our profits to be spent by the village on projects which improve the lives of all the villagers; this year they have been building a shelter for dry storage and to allow them to work during the rainy season. Any extra monies pay for their children to attend school.

Stitch Sainte Luce
Stitch Sainte Luce is a women’s embroidery Cooperative based in the rural southeast of Madagascar.
We create beautiful, hand-embroidered fashion accessories and home decor, with each piece being designed, stitched and hand-finished by one of our 96 members. We take our inspiration from the traditional Malagasy stories that have been passed from generation to generation, and from the beautiful surroundings of the area of Sainte Luce, transforming these into colourful works of embroidered art.
The studio where we create the products has no running water or electricity, there is a hand-crank sewing machine which is used to sew the products together after all the embroidery has been done. We use charcoal irons and water from the well for ironing finished pieces. So each is made with a lot of care and attention.
Find us in the trader area at the show.
